Good article. One thing to consider when deciding to install a home alarm system is that most home owners insurance will give you a discount for having a home security system. Wether or not they do and the discount they give really varies among insurance companies.
When planning out your home alarm system also consider having them put in a fire alarm or smoke alarm (yes, they are different). Especially considering that there is more property damage due to fire that from theft or burglary (yes, these are different also).
And make sure the installer is licensed and bonded.
Happy shopping!

Sandy,
We appreciate you reading the post and for your comments! They are right on. In addition to the fire and smoke detectors, most people over-look and discount the need for CO (Carbon Monoxide) sensors. If is gas coming in to the house for fireplace, dryer, stove, etc. it is wise to have a CO sensor. CO is oderless, tasteless and is known as the Silent Killer.
Not only are we Licensed and Bonded, we are also Insured and every one of our staff, reps and installers are all subject to FBI criminal background checks, drug test and credit checks. We won’t have anyone deal with a client file or go into their home or business if they have credit issues. If they have a criminal or drug issue, they aren’t able to work with us.
